# SPAC MCP server

> A SPAC MCP server is a Model Context Protocol endpoint that lets an AI assistant
> query special purpose acquisition company data directly, as tools it calls rather
> than text it was trained on.

SPACListing runs one at https://mcp.spaclisting.com. It covers every U.S. blank-check registrant
filed under SIC 6770 with the SEC, built on the same reconciled tables that
https://spaclisting.com renders from. It is read only, connects over OAuth 2.1 without an API
key, and is included with a SPACListing Pro subscription at $14.95 a month.

## Coverage

- Blank-check companies tracked: 1,699
- Still live (searching or with a deal announced): 389
- Held in trust by vehicles still searching: $39.1B
- Source: SEC EDGAR submission histories, XBRL company facts, and prospectus text
- Filings refresh every two hours, quotes every thirty minutes during U.S. market hours

## Connecting

1. In Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
2. Enter https://mcp.spaclisting.com and nothing else.
3. Approve once in the window that opens.

The connector registers itself (RFC 7591), the flow is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, and the
transport is streamable HTTP, so any compliant MCP client connects the same way. A
client that prefers a bearer token can send a SPACListing API key instead. The same
subscription covers the REST API at https://api.spaclisting.com.

## Tools

### search_spacs

Search and filter the universe of U.S. special purpose acquisition companies. Use this to answer questions about which SPACs match a set of criteria: still searching for a target, listed on a given exchange, holding more than a given amount in trust, facing a deadline before a given date, or chasing a particular sector. Returns trust size, redemption value per share, deadline, sponsor and the Edge, FOMO and Potential scores.

### get_spac

Everything known about one SPAC, by slug: trust economics, the combination deadline and how many extensions it has taken, the mandate, the sponsor, the underwriting syndicate with each bank's allocation, the live quote and its spread to the redemption floor, recent SEC filings with links to the documents, and recent news. Use search_spacs first if you only have a name or ticker.

### list_filings

The live SEC EDGAR filing feed across every SPAC, newest first, with no delay. Use this to see what has just been filed: 8-K item 1.01 for a combination agreement, S-4 and DEFM14A for a merger going to a vote, 424B4 for a completed IPO. Set material_only to skip routine paperwork.

### deadline_calendar

SPACs ordered by how soon they must complete a combination or liquidate, out to two years. A deadline is the single most actionable date on a SPAC: as it approaches the sponsor must either close, buy an extension from shareholders, or return the trust.

### sponsor_league

Sponsor franchises ranked by how many SPACs they have run, how much capital they raised and what share of their vehicles actually closed a deal rather than liquidating. Use this to judge whether a sponsor has a record or is on their first attempt.

### bank_league

Underwriters ranked by SPAC IPOs they took to market, how often they ran the book rather than sat in the syndicate, the dollar volume they underwrote and the share of their deals that closed a combination. Use this for questions about which banks are active in SPACs and how their deals turned out.

## What it will not do

- It never writes. Every tool is read only, with no connection to any broker.
- It cannot see billing details or change an account.
- Where a figure cannot be reconciled to a single reporting period it returns null
rather than an estimate. A trust balance from one quarter over a share count from
another is not a redemption value, and an assistant told otherwise will repeat the
  wrong number with complete confidence.

## Pricing

The directory, the screener and every SPAC profile are free to read at https://spaclisting.com.
The MCP server, the REST API, SEC filings without the 24-hour delay, the full
twelve-month deadline calendar and CSV export are SPACListing Pro,
